Everyone at the WFSA was horrified to learn about Monday’s earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
We know that many in our regional network will have been affected by this tragedy, either personally or through their loved ones. We are sending condolences and warm thoughts to our member societies, anaesthesiologists and other healthcare providers and the wider communities in these countries.
We are gratified to see the global response to this natural disaster through our anaesthesiology network. We know how important international solidarity is in these circumstances, and we will continue to work with our member societies and regional sections to support their local response in the way they deem appropriate.
We are also aware that WFSA partner, ICRC, is raising funds to provide emergency relief for the region
