Annual Theme 2025: Anaesthesiology in Health Emergencies

The WFSA Annual Theme unites the expertise of WFSA’s Committees to focus on a vital aspect of anaesthesia that impacts our members, the well-being of their patients, and national health systems.
For 2025, WFSA’s Annual Theme will raise awareness of the indispensability of anaesthesiologists in health emergency and critical care settings.
Over the next 12 months, under the guidance of our Intensive & Critical Care Medicine (ICCM) Committee, WFSA will spotlight the critical and multifaceted role anaesthesiologists play in managing health emergencies.
Through expert-led webinars, congress sessions, published educational resources, and much more, WFSA will explore various aspects of anaesthesiology in health emergencies. This initiative aims to identify best practices and strategies for responding to challenges ranging from natural or man-made disasters to hospital-based emergencies.
