The WFSA Session

Last year, WFSA organised a dedicated session at the Marathon, highlighting the importance of expanding perioperative PBM (P-PBM) programmes through innovation, commitment, and leadership from anaesthesia providers (watch the session).

We’re excited to return to the NATA Marathon this year with another strong line-up of global PBM champions, who will be delving into a range of important topics, including:

  • How anaesthesiologists can lead PBM implementation in clinical settings
  • Why tackling preoperative anaemia is crucial for safer surgery
  • What happens when PBM strategies fall short
  • The evolving role of blood banks in shaping a culture of safe and effective care
