Access to safe anaesthesia and surgical care is recognised as vital to realising Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Even pre-COVID, over 5 billion people were without access to this essential care. As the world’s health systems attempt to recover and look beyond COVID, how can we build back better to ensure more people are able to access the care they need?

Join global thought-leaders and practitioners across three stand-alone but interlinked topics, to explore the causes of this ongoing crisis and to discuss how the global health community can work to improve and strengthen surgical, obstetric, trauma and anaesthesia (SOTA) services the world over.
