Celebrate Workforce Well-Being this World Anaesthesia Day 2024

On 16 October, World Anaesthesia Day joined colleagues across the globe to highlight approaches to strengthening the anaesthesia workforce’s well-being

#WellAnaesthesia

The well-being of the anaesthesia workforce is vital for ensuring patient safety and enhancing health outcomes in the communities we serve. However, the demands of long hours, high stress, and the critical nature of this work can lead to burnout and other well-being challenges – we must look to bolster the well-being of those who dedicate themselves to patient care.

Building on the insights of the WFSA Annual Theme 2024: Workforce Well-Being, World Anaesthesia Day 2024 (WAD24) highlighted the importance of supporting the mental, emotional, and physical health of anaesthesia professionals around the world.
