WFSA Member Societies in middle-income countries in South, Central, and East Asia are invited to submit EOIs to host WCA2030.
WFSA invites Member Societies in middle-income countries in South, Central, and East Asia to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) to host the 21st World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA2030), which will take place in March–April 2030.
The deadline for submission is 31 October 2025.
WCA2030 will be organised by WFSA’s Swiss-affiliated non-profit association, World Association for the Promotion and the Development of Anaesthesia (WAPDA), under licence from WFSA. All organisational responsibilities and liabilities will be carried by WAPDA. The selected Member Society will not bear any financial risk and will not share in any surplus, though an agreed amount of up to USD 100,000 may be provided as recognition of their support in local delivery.
This year, the selection process has been simplified. Member Societies need only submit an EOI. WFSA will then conduct site visits and gather information for the Venue Selection Committee. No presentations are required, although Societies may be contacted for clarifications.
Timetable for WCA2030 Venue Selection
- EOI call launched: 1 September 2025
- Deadline for EOI submissions: 31 October 2025
- Site visits to potential venues: Autumn 2025
- Applicants informed of outcome: 1 February 2026
- Venue confirmed by WFSA Board and publicly announced: by 19 April 2026
