Become a Partner

The WFSA has official relations with the World Health Organisation (WHO) as well as with other key organisations that form part of our mission, such as the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) and the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).

These and other organisations officially liaised with the WFSA have agreed to the following:

  • An exchange of constitutions
  • An invitation to attend relevant General Assemblies as an observer
  • A linkage of the website (where possible) and co-operation in the promotion of each other’s World Congresses
  • A willingness to assist in the scientific programs of such meetings

The WFSA welcomes new partnerships with organisations that share our commitment to global health, safe anaesthesia and safe surgery. Should your organisation wish to become a partner of the WFSA please write to the WFSA Secretariat at matt.rothero@wfsahq.org with a brief outline of your reasons for seeking an official liaison with WFSA including a summary of your organisational mission and objectives.

Link with us

Organisations that do not meet the criteria or do not wish to enter an official partnership with the WFSA are nevertheless very welcome to link with us through an exchange of websites or a specific sharing of tools, educational material and other resources. View our links page.

Should you or your organisation wish to share a link with us then please contact us at matt.rothero@wfsahq.org . We ask only that these links are demonstrably connected to a shared mission and usually that they are reciprocal i.e. with a corresponding link to the WFSA from your website if you have one. We are happy to consider other ways of working together, beyond online cooperation, and welcome your suggestions and communication on any topic that you consider would be of mutual interest
