ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting 2023
Welcome from the president and dean
It’s with great pleasure that we invite you to Sydney for the 2023 ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) and the FPM Symposium. Both meetings promise to be memorable events with ample opportunities for networking, connecting, and socialising with colleagues.
The theme for the ASM is “Be connected”, and after the tough times of the past few years it could not be more apt. The convenors are working hard behind the scenes to bring you a thought-provoking, informative and comprehensive scientific program with its plentiful workshops, presentations, and plenaries.
Speakers invited from Australia, New Zealand, and around the world will provide new and refreshing insights in a wide range of relevant areas. Our key international invited speakers represent excellence in practice from the UK, Israel, and Canada. For all contributors, we’re very appreciative of the effort and planning that goes into every presentation, discussion, and workshop.
We’re indebted to the convenors and their organising committees, who have worked hard to develop a stimulating and creative scientific program. We’re also grateful for the outstanding support of the healthcare industry, whose contributions help make this a successful and high-quality meeting and provide us with the opportunity to experience the latest technology and medicines in several fields.
In keeping with the broad theme of “Be connected” the FPM Symposium, entitled “Moving forward”, to be held on Friday 5 May at the same venue, will celebrate the evolving art that is pain medicine. It aims to showcase new concepts, evolving technologies and what we can learn from other specialties who approach their patients in a similar, holistic manner.
We look forward to welcoming you to the always stimulating city of Sydney, for the 2023 ANZCA ASM.
