The WFSA is pleased to announce the publication of our official Position Statement on Anaesthesiology and Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The statement was approved unanimously by Extraordinary Resolution of WFSA’s General Assembly.
WFSA & Association of Anaesthetists mark 100th SAFE Course
The WFSA and the Association of Anaesthetists are proud to celebrate the 100th SAFE course which took place in October 2018
Since the first SAFE course in Uganda in 2011, over 100 SAFE courses have now been delivered in 33 countries training at least 3,479 clinicians, mostly anaesthesia providers but also midwives, obstetricians and other physicians. Approximately 520 anaesthesia providers have been trained as SAFE trainers.
Speak up and team up for making anaesthesia care safe for all for World Patient Safety Day 2019
As of 2019, the 17th September has been designated as the World Patient Safety Day by the World Health Organization (WHO). On this day WHO will launch a global campaign to create awareness of patient safety and urge people to show their commitment for making healthcare safer. The aim is to raise global awareness about patient safety.
